The Bias Reporting System was established to assist members of the William and Mary community who have been affected by incidents involving bias related to race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or other protected conditions. The system provides multiple modes (multiple modes?) of reporting to include personal contact, online form, or faxed form. Confidentiality will be honored unless reporting individual provides contact information.

But...... there is the little fact of what it really means to be eighth cousins. An eighth cousin is someone with whom you share a great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandparent.
That's seven greats.
Now to figure out how many "seven greats" grandparents you have you just use the trick of the powers of two, using your parents as 2 to the 1st power and going up from there. So the number of your "seven greats" grandparent is 2 to the 9th or.........512.
And consider Obama and Cheney each had 512 ancestors of the 9th generation.

Of course remembering Barak Obama's mother is white, it is not quite as strange as it seems...

Ann Coulter says Jews have to become Christians to get to heaven or something. All very Protestant sounding ("perfecting", "perfection" something something -- one of those Protestant words like "depravity" and "election" that I'm not clear on, I guess). I'm not Jewish either, so I don't have a gut reaction.

This may not be official Catholic teaching, but I believe Jews get special salvation treatment and don't have to convert. As well, the Church teaches that "those who, without knowing of the Church but acting under the inspiration of grace, seek God sincerely and strive to fulfill his will, are saved even if they have not been baptized"; that "baptism by desire", although very rare, exists -- basically there seems to be more wiggle room than we give God credit for...

I guess all that "...way, the truth and the light" and "no man comes to the Father but through the Son" stuff isn't clear enough... even though Christ was directing his words directly at Jews at the time.
But I suppose that doesn't cut it compared to the latest Papal pronuncimento...
